About Us

Change of Heart Prison Ministries Inc. (a.k.a. Change Of Heart) is a non-profit ecumenical Christian Ministry for young men and women who are in the custody of an Ohio Correctional facility. Our purpose is to manifest God’s love to incarcerated youth, known as “Stars” (male inmates) or "Angels" (female inmates), through a 3-day course in Christianity and an ongoing follow-up program. We do this by bringing together a team of adults and youth who work together during the 3-day event to meet and show the love of God to the inmates at one of the many Ohio facilities we have partnered with. We work closely with the on-site Chaplains and correctional officers to bring a fun-filled, Jesus-centered weekend that changes the lives of these precious people. We also continue ministry after the weekend event with follow-up visits.

The 3-day course is modeled after other Christian-based programs like Chrysalis, Cross, Cursillo, Happening, Kairos Prison Ministry, Tres Dias, Vida Nueva, and Walk to Emmaus.     Pickaway Correctional Institute

    The Pickaway Correctional Institution is a state prison located in Scioto Township, Pickaway County, just outside Orient, Ohio. The prison houses mostly minimum- and medium-security inmates.

    Circleville Juvenile Correctional Facility

    he Circleville Juvenile Correctional Facility (CJCF) serves male youth. The facility is accredited by the American Correctional Association and provides a variety of services and treatment for youth, including a fully accredited high school, behavioral health services, unit management, medical and dental care, recreation, religious services, community service opportunities, and re-entry services.

    Dayton Correctional Institute

    The Dayton Correctional Institution is a state prison for women located in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio. The facility opened in 1987 and is owned and operated by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. The facility holds a maximum of 938 female inmates at various security levels.

    Lebanon Correctional Institution

    The Lebanon Correctional Institution is a prison in the United States operated by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction in Warren County's Turtlecreek Township, about four miles west of Lebanon, two miles east of Monroe and about 32 miles north of Cincinnati, Ohio on State Route 63.

    Madison Correctional Institution

    The Madison Correctional Institution is a state prison for men located in London, Madison County, Ohio. First opened in 1987, the facility has a working population of 2,258 inmates, with a mix of security levels. The facility is less than a mile from another Ohio state prison: London Correctional Institution.

    "The ‘Change of Heart Prison Ministries’ weekend changed my life in so many ways. It was the happiest day of my life. Before I went through the weekend event, I was in a very dark place in my life. I was hurt, sad, lonely and did not feel loved at all. I have been so hurt in my childhood. I did not know how to love and did not know what it felt like and I did not like a lot of people. I hurt people because that was what hurt people did. On my weekend, the forgiveness set me free. I let go of all the pain that once held my anger for a long time. Only by the goodness of God, I was saved, forgiven and I also forgave. I love the Lord, it's just something about His name, it's nothing better than Him. So, I'm here to tell you just give Him a try. He will make a way out of no-way.
